To configure the program
In order to bring up the configuration dialog, press the configuration button or the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl” + “C”. In the tabs of the configuration dialog, the following options are presented:
Tab “Input”: You can select, if Address Harvester reads information from the “From” field of the e-mails (the sender) or from the “To” field (recipient). The option “From” is the recommended setting. You can select as well the subject field, if you want to collect information about the threads in the selected mailboxes.
Tab “Output”: This tab offers options for the output file. If you want Address Harvester to write every address on a separate line, then select the radio button “Line by line”. With this option, the output will look like this:
demouser@hotmail.com
anotherdemouser@yahoo.com
thirdperson@aol.com
With the second option (“Delimiter separated”) you can determine the character to separate the addresses. The following output is produced with this option and the semicolon as delimiter:
demouser@hotmail.com;anotherdemouser@yahoo.com;thirdperson@aol.com
Use this option, if you want to paste the address list into the BCC field (Blind carbon copy or anonymous address) of your mail program.
With the option “Remove duplicates automatically” checked, no address appears more than once in the list. If you uncheck this option, no addresses are filtered out from the list (however, invalid addresses are filtered out).
If you check the option “Save automatically”, then, the program does not prompt for an output file: It uses the output directory and the output file indicated below. Please set this feature if you want to use the autorun feature.
